Meet Tara, Founder & CEO
Devvy Pet™ Founder, Tara de Nicolas, is a proven animal lover. Recusing animals since childhood, Tara has always been committed to creating a world where every pet is loved and has a home. Before launching Devvy Pet™, Tara developed Fashion for Paws, a marketing and fundraising fashion program for the Washington Humane Society that has raised millions of dollars since 2007.
After years of trying hundreds of pet shampoo and conditioning products on her dogs, Tara was always left disappointed, noticing as soon as her dog dried off, the beautiful scent they had been washed in disappeared altogether.
Not only that, in searching for a quality pet shampoo product, Tara discovered that the majority of the pet care products on the market were riddled with irritating chemicals that made her dogs itchy and uncomfortable after their bath. In response, Devvy Pet™ was born!
Who is Devvy?
Inspired by her tenacious Jack Russell Terrier named Devvy who loves to romp and roll, making for one stinky dog no matter what shampoos Tara used to wash him. Finally, Tara decided that love did not have to stink anymore and set out on a mission to create an organic product line (not to irritate Devvy's allergies) that would last long after bath time to keep her Devvy fresh and lovably clean, while also incorporating the soothing elements of aromatherapy.

For Tara, animals are her #1 passion, owning four rescue dogs; her goal is to continue to help homeless animals through Devvy Pet’s socially responsible business model, donating one bottle for every bottle sold. Almost 7 million animals enter shelters in the United States every year, and 4 million are euthanized (60% dogs and 70% cats). This is a terrifying epidemic -- and Devvy Pet is determined to help.
